CBRE Data Centre Overview

CBRE manages the maintenance of Data Centre's and is committed to the provision of an efficient and effective critical engineering maintenance service. The primary function is to ensure 100% uptime of engineering services to ensure there is zero impact to the client’s business operations.

Role Overview:

Performs a variety of repairs, installation, and/or modification services or machine servicing unsupervised and report back to Supervisor on completion.


Key objectives of the role:

  1. Undertake maintenance procedures, regular checks and routine inspections on equipment in conjunction with the maintenance team.
  2. Ensure the continuous operation of the installed system.
  3. Undertake repairs and minor works associated with the installed services relevant to their job designation.
  4. Assist and enhance service delivery through best practice and the effective use of site systems and equipment.
  5. Carry out personal risk assessments of maintenance and repair activities.
  6. Maintain and review stock levels, spares requirement through audit and timely ordering of parts.
  7. Ensure all work and contractor are carried out in accordance with CBRE site Health & Safety procedures.
  8. Ensure all self-performed work and contractors are carried out in accordance with ADC and CBRE site Health & Safety procedures.
  9. Accountable for the state of the plantrooms to best practice.

The successful candidate will have the following background: 

  1. Relevant Technical Qualifications.
  2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related field.
  3. Recognised Apprenticeship.
  4. Previous experience working in a similar building environment/business.
  5. Sound Communication Skills.

 Role requirements 

The Data Centre sites operate on a 24/7 basis as such incumbents may be required to respond operational requirements in line with functional responsibilities. Furthermore, due to the nature of the position and operational requirements of the company incumbents will be required to working according to a Shift Roster, details of which will be communicated by the Management Team.
