Job Purpose:
We are looking for a dedicated Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Supervisor to coordinate and enforce day-to-day safety practices on a complex construction project. The role will focus on the safe execution of excavation, demolition, concrete works, steel erection, elevator installation, electrical systems, and firefighting network modifications. The HSE Supervisor will act as a vigilant presence on-site, guiding teams to work safely and ensuring compliance with all HSE requirements. 

What you will be doing:

  • Conduct daily site inspections across work zones, identifying unsafe conditions and ensuring corrective actions are taken immediately.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with approved safety plans, method statements, risk assessments, and rescue procedures.
  • Carry out regular inspections of tools, machinery, lifting equipment, and PPE to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Deliver daily Toolbox Talks (TBTs) that are relevant, engaging, and encourage workforce participation.
  • Prepare daily safety reports highlighting unsafe acts/conditions, violations, near-misses, and corrective measures implemented.
  • Provide continuous on-site guidance and support to workers, contractors, and supervisors to raise safety awareness and enforce a culture of responsibility.
  • Assist in incident investigations, collecting facts and evidence to support root cause analysis.
  • Support emergency response drills and ensure personnel are trained and clear on their roles.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of risk identification, hazard control, and safe work practices in heavy construction.
  • Competence in inspections, safety checks, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with incident reporting and contribution to accident investigations.
  • Practical knowledge in emergency procedures for excavation, structural work, and MEP activities.

Soft Skills

  • Confident communicator with the ability to deliver instructions clearly and effectively, even in noisy worksite settings.
  • Strong leadership presence — approachable, firm, and consistent in enforcing HSE standards.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to anticipate risks.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a practical, hands-on approach.
What you will bring:
  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related discipline (preferred).
  • Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH/OSHA/IOSH.
  • Previous experience as an HSE Supervisor or Safety Officer on multi-discipline construction projects.
  • Familiarity with excavation, steel erection, electrical works, and fire safety systems is an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction projects.
