Main purpose / objective of the position:
To oversee activities of service- and maintenance contractors and staff, execution of building related
activities as predetermined by Facilities and Centre Managers. Establish and maintain mutually beneficial
relationships with tenants and service contractors; assist Facilities Manager to co-ordinate repairs, revamps
and tenant installations; carry out inspections and general building maintenance.
Decision making authority:
Decisions are based on knowledge of theory and systems. Required to choose from a limited array of
routines or rules at his/her disposal. Works within specific prescribed policies and guidelines.
Experience / Education:
Electrical qualification at N4 level or electrical trade artisan or equivalent with approximately 3 - 5 years
relevant experience. Preference will be given to candidates with MV/LV switchgear and reticulation
experience, checking and running generators, as well as electrical compliance knowledge.
Skills required:
Technical and mechanical; basic building maintenance; plumbing and electrical.
PC literacy - working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
Knowledge required:
Knowledge of lease conditions including house rules, knowledge of housekeeping principles, Basic OHS; airconditioning, plumbing, electrical, knowledge of Company policies and procedures, Administration principles and reporting, Working knowledge of statutory requirements, Knowledge of cost budgeting and control.
