Job Purpose
The main feature of this role will be to support the regional expansion by handling and generating business leads and by maintaining concise records and detail of business correspondence with clients & peers and work towards winning them.

Role and responsibilities

• Work closely with the Managing Director and Regional Business Development Director to manage regional tenders from initiation to submission
• Provide support to the team to understand the requirements of identified business opportunities and suggest successful strategies for response.
• Complete pre-qualification questionnaires as requested and keep the Managing Director and the Regional Business Development Director fully updated on progress
• To manage the contributions of others supporting the bid to ensure timely delivery of best quality responses
• Use innovative means to develop new sources of profitable business.
• Deliver exceptional tender documents and presentations in line with Company standards, using the specialist support functions (procurement, HR, QHSE etc) as well as local managers and MD
• Preparing and issuing predefined reports for both internal and external customers
• When required, attending meetings to take notes or minutes and ensure follow up action undertaken
• Undertake any other duties as requested by the Regional Business Development Director or MD
• Attendance at tender site visits, client meetings and preparation of presentations where necessary
• Raise the company profile by organising (and where necessary, representing CBRE Excellerate at) industry events, networking events and promoting an image of professionalism at all times.
• Build relationships with operational managers and support functions
• Assisting with preparation of materials for marketing events, presentations and client meetings
• Support in preparation of S1 for FM deals
• Coordination and work closely with CBRE Global Verticals/Central BTO/Solutions/Business Development Manager, Self-Perform Team, Operations as well as procurement, legal, finance to support locally in UAE and ME countries

Nature of role
• Primarily office based and internally facing although there may be some meetings with clients, where appropriate
• Out of hours work may be required to meet tight deadlines as set by customers
• All work and opportunities are to be treated as highly confidential

Person Specification and Key Competencies
Education
[Essential] Good basic education to GCSE (or equivalent standard), which will include an English and Maths qualification.
[Desirable] Higher educational qualifications to A level/HNC/D would be beneficial.

Training
[Essential] Very proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
[Desirable] Experience of Sales, Business Development and bid preparation.

Experience
[Essential] UAE Experience of a similar role in a medium-sized business.
Well-developed communication skills enabling the individual to work with Senior Managers, clients, suppliers, and staff of all levels and abilities.

  • Excellent command of the English language demonstrated through good verbal and written communication. Must be detail conscious, accurate and methodical in approach.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Able to work systematically and use own initiative. 
  • Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team as well as independently.

Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing support to other areas of the business on occasions, as required.

Circumstances
Must be flexible to work outside core office hours from time to time, and to travel on occasions to other work locations.
