About the Role:
CBRE EXCELLERATE is seeking an experienced HSE OFFICER to lead Health, Safety, and Environmental operations across our Rabat-based sites. This role will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the company’s HSE strategy locally, ensuring compliance with Moroccan legislation and CBRE’s internal standards, and promoting a proactive safety culture within the site teams and service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure full compliance with national HSE laws and CBRE EXCELLERATE policies. Conduct risk assessments, internal audits, and site inspections to proactively identify and address hazards.
Training & Awareness:
Develop and deliver HSE training programs for site employees and contractors. Promote a safety-first culture through regular briefings, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.
Incident Management:
Lead investigations for all on-site incidents and near-misses. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of HSE activities, audits, training sessions, and incidents. Prepare monthly reports and present key findings to internal stakeholders.
Contractor Management:
Ensure all contractors operating in Rabat meet required HSE standards. Perform compliance checks before and during works and ensure alignment with site procedures.
Emergency Preparedness:
Develop and maintain emergency response plans for all Rabat sites. Organize drills and ensure staff are trained and prepared for emergency scenarios.
Environmental Oversight:
Monitor waste management, energy use, and environmental compliance. Support local initiatives that align with broader ESG and sustainability goals.
Key Tasks:
Conduct regular HSE site inspections and risk assessments.
Manage and track HSE action plans and ensure timely implementation.
Deliver HSE inductions, refreshers, and awareness programs on-site.
Review contractor safety documentation and approve site-specific plans.
Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures.
Liaise with regulatory bodies as needed for inspections or compliance matters.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in a Health, Safety & Environment role, preferably within facilities management, real estate, or technical services.
Certifications:
NEBOSH, ISO 45001, or equivalent safety certifications preferred. Familiarity with Moroccan labor and safety laws is essential.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of HSE systems and audits, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage teams and contractors effectively.
